Starting Development with .NET , C#, VB , ASP.NET:-Tools

So My last post was about will the be More programming jobs available from now onwards.Or the survival of programming fields. And good response for that, now let us have a look at what are the needed tools and resources if you are going to develop applications using .Net Framework.
Let us take into consideration that you are a newbie and don't have lots of money to buy expensive softwares.
Therefore I am going to give you list of all free tools I used when I started development on .Net Framework.
And of-course + plus new must have tools.

1) Notepad ++(Lets say NP++), now If you are in development(Programming) field and don't know about Notepad ++, please Google yourself .NP++ is an text editor which acts as a replacement to our sweet notepad in windows Operating System. But NP++ has been designed specially keeping in mind the programmers point of view. It supports every major programming language. It has line numbering like the IDE(Integrated Development Environment)ex. Turbo c++, Visual studio, Netbeans etc. It has multiple tabs support giving flexibility to work on multiple documents at a time.So must download for any platform.

2)Visual Studio express edition.  Now thats an offspring of   premier flagship IDE(integrated development environment) from Microsoft Visual studio. Supports
Visual Basic  express
Visual c# express
Visual c++ express
Visual Web developer express.

Don't forget to Register Visual studio freely: Procedure at the end of Post.

3) Visual Studio professional: Applicable only if you are able to verify student status.

4)Microsoft's SQL server express: Database and Management tools

5)WebMatrix :WebMatrix is everything you need to build Web sites using Windows. It includes IIS Express (a development Web server), ASP.NET (a Web framework), and SQL Server Compact (an embedded database). It streamlines Web site development and makes it easy to start Web sites from popular open-source apps. The skills and code you develop with WebMatrix transition seamlessly to Visual Studio and SQL Server.
I had written posts for this software

Don't tell me you are a linux fan!!!
I have something for you
It is called Mono Project.

6)Mono project: Mono is a software platform designed to allow developers to easily create cross platform applications. It is an open source implementation of Microsoft's .Net Framework based on the ECMA standards for C# and the Common Language Runtime. We feel that by embracing a successful, standardized software platform, we can lower the barriers to producing great applications for Linux.

Being a Programmer or Developer : survival ??

Information Technology field is on decline??
Sometime ago a elderly tutor(Not connected to IT field) said to us(me and my friends) that some time from now there will be a lapse in jobs generated from IT(Information Technology) field.Well I don't want to disclose the name here. But my first reaction was of owe!! Well I kind of took it a bit seriously for few days thinking that oh I have wasted a whole lot of bucks aka Money on learning all those programming stuff. Well just fews days ago I thought over it again and found out that it is crap that IT(Information Technology) field  will show a lapse in generation of new jobs.
And I did some of the research on what could be possibilities of IT field in coming decade or so.

My first target field was Electronics , Bio-Chemistry, Physics Plus Nanotechnology. All these fields are on rise and more sophisticated electronics means use of more efficient coding or programming for these languages.
I am currently learning electronics Embedded programming as college (university syllabus).
Same is the case with Bio-chemistry(Informatics) which include automate biological data analysis and develop algorithms or workflows, and how to manage vast amounts of data using database technologies. Thus given the rise of new technological advancement gives rise to need of good programmers and developer who will know basics of these different fields and help the specialist in IT Development.

2. A safer address field

Opera's new address field hides the complexity of long web addresses and gives you better control of your security when browsing. Click on the badge for the website to see information about the site you are visiting. You can even get information about Opera Turbo data savings.

3. Extensions support

You can now browse Opera'sextensions catalog to add new functionality easily and customize Opera just how you want it.

4. Visual mouse gestures

Mouse gestures are another Opera innovation that has been made easier-to-use with the addition of an interface that guides you. This allows new users to discover the speed and power that mouse gestures offer.

5. Better performance

Our developers have been hard at work fine-tuning our browser engine to put Opera even further ahead in a number of benchmarks. In Opera 11, pages load faster and complex applications run more smoothly.

6. Enhanced HTML5 support

Support for new standards and HTML5 technologies means that rich, dynamic web applications and multiplayer games can be supported by Opera 11.

7. Extended auto-update

A new auto-update system ensures that your extensions and Opera Unite apps are always up to date with the latest enhancements.

8. Search predictions from Google

Search suggestions predict queries as you type, making searching quicker and easier. Google search predictions are now built into Opera. When using the search field or searching from the address field with the 'g' search keyword, Google search predictions will appear.

9. Plug-ins only on demand

An option has now been added to have plug-ins such as Flash content load only when clicked. This is especially helpful to speed up browsing on computers that have difficulty handling lots of plug-in content.

10. Enhanced email in your browser

A new mail panel gives you control over the order in which your accounts and mail items show up. You can just drag items where you want them. The mail panel can also show your mail panel when you are using it and hide when you leave a mail tab.

11. Faster installation

Even with its many new features, Opera 11 is 30% smaller than Opera 10.60. That means that Opera downloads more quickly and installs in fewer steps. Getting Opera on your computer is easier than ever.

Blogger Buzz: Safe Browsing on Blogger

Blogger Buzz: Safe Browsing on Blogger

National Cyber-Security Awareness Month is here once again. In that spirit we wanted to share a bit about what we are doing on Blogger to help fight malicious content, along with some tips for a safer browsing experience online. While spammers are always coming up with new tricks, the combination of Blogger’s abuse-fighting systems and the security features of modern browsers helps ensure that you’ll be able to browse through your favorite blog content with confidence.

We’ve partnered with other abuse-fighting teams within Google to develop sophisticated systems for automatically detecting and quarantining nefarious content on Blogspot. Over the years, our teams have analyzed the patterns and behavior of malicious blogs and code, and with each new detection our existing algorithms are trained for better coverage in the future. As a result, we are able to catch and quarantine thousands of malicious blogs each year, and are happy to say that our overall spam levels are at an all-time low across our service.

Of course, while our automated systems provide great coverage for a wide variety of abuse types, you can always let us know about suspicious blogs by reporting them directly to us via our online form. We’re also looking to you, the users, to be our eyes on the web and let us know anything that may have escaped our existing systems.

Beyond partnering with us on the detection process, you can also make a difference in your own online security by taking advantage of your browser’s built-in security. Modern browsers have powerful security features that can detect potentially malicious sites and alert you should you stumble upon them. Using technology like Google’s Safe Browsing tools, users of many browsers see warning screens when attempting to visit sites that automated systems have determined to contain suspicious content. To make sure you have the latest and most secure browser version, please check out the following browser sites:

We also recommend using one of the following tools to keep your browser plug-ins up to date: Google-developed SecBrowsing; Mozilla Plugin Check.

For more tips on safe browsing and security on the web, check out the home of Cyber Security Awareness Month at the http://staysafeonline.org/.

Yahoo Mail Beta Preview | PCMag.com

Yahoo Mail Beta Preview | PCMag.com

While Yahoo Mail has been around for quite a while, the company decided it was time for a reboot if it was to compete with other services like Gmail. Yahoo has added a litany of features that allow users to control more of their digital life right from the Yahoo Mail homepage. This most recent edition of the email service maintains control of the same old applications like Flickr, MyDrive and PayPal while introducing some new social features.

Features
The first thing users are going to notice is the ability to update their Facebook or Twitter status right from the home page under the "What's New" tab. Just add either account and you can tweet to your heart's content. Not to mention that Yahoo Mail will soon be able pull updates from both networks into one feed known as "Updates." The service still provides the same Yahoo News updates as well as Yahoo Pulse, so for the seven Yahoo Pulse users out there: do not be alarmed.

As for the new inbox, it's now resizable and you can finally hide the preview pane for those who like to scroll less and read more. Yahoo is also taking a cue from Google by displaying live contacts to the left of your inbox, allowing you to send them an instant message or access other options in just a few clicks. Speaking of contacts, Yahoo knows which addresses aren't in your list and displays them with a plus symbol in the "To:" field for easy entry.

An improved search option will appear next to users' Contacts tab and allow them to filter their searches by user, attachment types and more. Something that Yahoo Mail also promises to accomplish is multitasking without needing to save an email before moving on to an instant message or checking your inbox mid-thought. This is thanks to Yahoo Mail's tab system.

It's clear that Yahoo wants its new mail service to be the one-stop shop for your digital life through its Facebook and Twitter integration as well as live contacts. However, these features aren't 100 percent functional yet. Though, the company also promises an improved mobile app so that we'll have the new Yahoo Mail on the go.

Microsoft.
The object of the IT Challenge is to highlight the art and science of developing, deploying, and maintaining IT systems that are efficient, functional, robust and secure. IT professionals have a base set of tools and techniques, but still have to work through customer needs and configurations that require an intimate understanding of how the pieces fit together. They also need to know how far the systems can be pushed before they will break, and how to make the systems highly available, so that they are always available.
